New Student Registration
Welcome
A resident who is new to the Bexley City School District should contact the school that his or her student will attend in the fall.  Parents/guardians may become acquainted with the education programs that are available by perusing this web site or contacting the Central Office to obtain printed materials (614-231-7611). Some of the unique opportunities in Bexley Schools include world language instruction in grades 1 - 12, dedicated school counselors in all five buildings, and specialists with certifications in their fields teaching arts courses -- all features available at only a few Ohio public schools.

The Bexley City School District does not accept students on a tuition basis. Neither does the district participate in “open enrollment” options. In order to experience the Bexley Schools education program, families must live within the City of Bexley boundaries. A link to the complete list of street and house numbers that make up Bexley is available below, in Resources; see also the Board of Education policy regulating Residency Requirements).

New Student Registration takes place in each school office during regular school hours 8:00am - 3:00pm (in the elementary schools, August through early June). If registering in the summer, please call the school to make sure office personnel is available to meet. Kindergarten registration is scheduled in March at all three elementary schools.

Starting Kindergarten
Bexley offers free, all-day kindergarten for all students who turn five years of age on or before August 1 of the year that they enroll in kindergarten. Information about Bexley's kindergarten program can be found here.  Click here for an Ohio Department of Education checklist about kindergarten readiness.

Registration for 2016 - 2017
Every student, even one whose siblings already attend Bexley Schools, should be registered at the school he or she will attend. The child does not have to accompany the parent/guardian to register.  Those registering over the summer months should call the school to make sure an office person is available to enroll the child.  School personnel are in the high school and middle school offices throughout the summer; school personnel return to the elementary offices on August 4, 2016.  Call the Central Office (614-231-7611) with any questions.
